Placing your order
Can I order over the phone?
Should you like a helping hand, you can absolutely place your order over the telephone. We're in the process of setting up our phone line, but in the meantime you can reach us at hello@housebarn.ie. We are available from 10am–5pm Monday to Friday. If you would like to chat, just include your number and a good time, and we'll give you a call.
What happens if I need to cancel my order?
Whether you've accidentally put in the wrong quantity or simply have a sudden change of heart, get in touch with us as
soon as you possibly can and we can cancel your order for you. Bear in mind that because we offer speedy delivery and your order has already been dispatched, you'll need to follow our returns procedure. Please note cancellations do not apply to certain products please review our terms and conditions for more information.
How do I check the status of my order?
We recommend creating a Customer Account so you can check on the status of your order. Here, you can find your estimated
ship date as well as a complete history of all your orders. Once you place an order we will email you to confirm this order and a second email once your order has been shipped with all your tracking information.
How does preordering items work?
If you have pre-ordered one of our products please be advised of expected delivery date on the product page. All pre-ordered items are charged at point of checkout. We endeavour to be as accurate as possible with our delivery times however this can change, if there is a delay we will let you know as soon as possible. If you’ve changed your mind on your order then please contact us via email hello@housebarn.ie quoting your order number and we will issue a refund. Once your pre-order is shipped you will receive an email to notify you.
Are your packing materials sustainable?
Our goods are delivered safely using recyclable materials. We use biodegradable packing peanuts in all our shipments. They are water soluble and leave no residue. Please your packing peanuts in the sink and run water over them to dissolve. We also reuse most of our boxes and some packaging so although this may not look aesthetically pleasing this is part of our reuse, recycle and reduce initiative.
Can my order be sent to a different address as a gift?
If your purchase is a gift, please send us an email or include a message at checkout and we can enclose a gift message of your choice with the item(s) and then send you a separate invoice.
Receiving & Returning Your Order
How do I make a return?
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we accept returns on select items within 14 days of receipt. Please visit our Returns page to begin a return for your order.
Are returns free?
We have tried to make our returns process as planet-friendly and as simple as possible, but we do ask that you cover the cost of returning your piece to us unless it is faulty upon arrival.
What happens if my goods arrive damaged?
It happens very rarely, but in the
unfortunate occasion that your piece arrives in less than perfect condition all you need to do is speak to our care team who will take care of everything for you. Please visit us returns policy page for more information on this process.

How do I sign up for your mailing list?
We love nothing more than to keep in touch with you. Should you wish to sign up, you can do so at the end of our page.
Do you have a shop or showroom I can visit?
We would love to have a little bricks and mortar store, but in the here and now, we remain an online business.
Do you offer trade discounts?
We offer an exclusive discount to a selection of products for professional Interior Designers (subject to requirements), to apply for a trade account please contact hello@housebarn.ie or visit the trade programme page.
Can I purchase a House barn gift card?
You can indeed. We offer E-gift cards or can post physical gift cards, perfect for those friends who are rather tricky to buy for or for last-minute gifting.
Can I use your images on my blog or website?
Please contact us on hello@housebarn.ie to enquire about featuring any of our products. All of our products are available as a hi res image and we would love to hear from you. And, should you repost it on social media, we'd ask that you credit us with @shophousebarn.
What does it mean when an item is handmade?
We take pride in sourcing items a little bit different and from around the globe. This means some items have been hand finished, therefore are not mass produced and identical. So ceramics may well differ from piece to piece, our glass items may have bubbles; these are the way they are intended to be. Please get in touch if you require clarification on a certain items.
