Founded as an extension of a long-standing family tradition in furniture and interiors, House Barn is a curated homeware brand based in Ireland, spearheaded by Rachael. Growing up surrounded by design and craftsmanship, Rachael developed an early appreciation for the way a home can shape how we live and feel.
After spending a number of years in California, Rachael rekindled her love for interiors and brought back a fresh, laid-back aesthetic that complements her Irish roots and family legacy. This bi-continental influence manifests in House Barn’s unique offering of decor, vintage items, and furniture, blending old-world charm with contemporary elegance. This perspective would later become an integral part of her own aesthetic.
After collectively sourcing much of her inspiration through her travels, Rachael brought this inspiration home with her. She joined her family’s interiors business — a chapter close to her heart — where she combined her Irish heritage with the fresh ideas she had gathered abroad. This period not only strengthened her love for interiors but also gave her the foundation to refine her own design philosophy.
This success, however, was a stepping stone to her true ambition: creating a unique and authentic brand with a product line that embodies the simplicity and calm she values.
